Tumbledown is a home recording project from Tom Gagne.  His debut album, "Safe and Sound" covers a lot of musical ground without losing coherency.  Sometimes explosive and desperate and other times soft and pleading, Tumbledown's music holds up a mirror to raw emotion.

The Tumbledown project also involves some guest appearances by online collaborators from around the country and around the world, with bass parts coming from Holland and California and Saxaphone parts coming from Louisiana.  Neither Gagne nor any of the other musicians have ever met one another in person or even spoken on the phone.  All communication and musical exchange occurs over the internet.

"Safe and Sound" could be described as a darker album that is dotted with light and hope.

Tom Gagne:
I wrote most of these songs between 10 and 15 years ago. Now I don't even own a set of headphones now that are worthy of Paris Hilton's album. I finally produced the album in 2006. It was recorded in a spare bedroom using primarily Studio Projects gear in the main chain. Some of you have heard these songs several times, but probably not mastered. It was mastered by John Scrip of Massive Mastering.

Tjarko Busink (Trojka) plays bass on most songs.
Mike Dunn (Guernica) plays bass on a couple (Perry, Rhythms).
Steve Hutter (Lt. Bob) plays saxaphone(The Passing, Chrysalis).

These guys are all from RP. They're the kind of players that make you feel like a real musician when you work with them.

Feel free to do whatever you want with these. Burn them to CD's, sell them to the Japanese. I hear they love American progressive.
